about

This track was written for the final round of SpinTunes 4. The challenge was to write a song using only body parts as accompaniment. It seemed only logical to sing a song about body parts to go along with it, so we hit on the idea of Igor showing off his latest acquisitions to Frankenstein. There are probably too many bad body-part puns in there, but perhaps that brings it closer to the realm of Carry On Screaming. No regular instruments were harmed in the creation of this song. Everything you can hear came from the human body, though quite a lot of it has been heavily processed in various ways.

lyrics

Please, Doctor Frankenstein,
If you can spare the time,
I have a body part or two for you to peruse.

How about a hairy arm?
I found down on the farm
It has a digging action second to none.

Or this set of teeth?
So white you'd not believe
They could exist outside the jaws of a dentist.

And a pair of thighs
Though you must realise
I'd really be going out on a limb.

If the body's instrumental
And the science experimental
It might require bending the law
Ask Messrs. Burke and Hare
Just how they would prepare
To construct Igor's Jigsaw

Would you pick this nose?
Or tell me that it blows?
It came from a florist, so I know it works.

Would you like this skull?
Maybe a little dull,
But the cranium is strong as they come.

Fi-i-i-i-ngers
From ten different hands
A modern Prometheus
Understands

If the body's instrumental
And the science experimental
It might require bending the law
Ask Messrs. Burke and Hare
Just how they would prepare
To construct Igor's Jigsaw
